New from Vicon: The Vero 4.2
More field of view, flexible optics, and reliable motion data: with the new Vicon Vero 4.2, Vicon expands its camera portfolio with a 4.2-megapixel motion capture camera for demanding capture environments.
Reliable data capture across the entire capture volume
In motion capture systems, reliable marker tracking across the entire capture volume is essential. Particularly in edge areas near walls, floor, or ceiling, markers are often seen by fewer cameras at the same time. This can lead to interrupted trajectories and additional effort for data cleaning and interpolation.
The new Vicon Vero 4.2 was designed to address these challenges. With its square 4.2-megapixel sensor and an exceptionally wide field of view of 98.7° × 98.7°, it captures motion data across a larger area of the capture volume.
Key benefits of the Vicon Vero 4.2
Wide field of view for more coverage
The square 4.2-megapixel sensor offers a field of view of 98.7° × 98.7°. This allows a larger area of the capture volume to be covered – an advantage especially in setups where reliable marker tracking in edge areas is important.
Flexible optics without additional lens kits
The variable focal length allows the field of view to be adjusted from 98.7° to 43°. This lets you adapt the camera flexibly to different requirements, without repositioning cameras.
Integration into existing Vicon systems
The Vero 4.2 integrates into existing Vicon environments and supports the software solutions Vicon Nexus, Shōgun, and Tracker. Users benefit from proven Vicon accuracy and can keep working with their existing system setup.
For capture volumes up to 10 × 10 m
The Vicon Vero 4.2 is aimed in particular at teams working in capture volumes of up to 10 × 10 m who value the most comprehensive coverage of their measurement area.
With its wide square field of view and flexible optics, the Vero 4.2 offers new ways to adapt existing motion capture setups to specific requirements.
