The AMTI Mobius tandem treadmill offers a unique advantage with its patented end-to-end configuration: unlike side-to-side split-belt treadmills, subjects can freely choose their stance width without data loss from “double support.” This promotes a natural gait pattern – without forcing foot placement.

Two independent, high-precision 6-axis force platforms provide complete bilateral forces during walking and running – even during double-support phases. The optional StrideWorks software resolves front/rear forces into left/right limb forces in real time and streams them directly into your motion capture software.

Features

Promotes natural gait

Accommodates crossover gait and side-to-side movement without widening stance – synchronized belt speeds for a seamless transition between belts.

Simple USB integration

Straightforward digital integration with all leading motion capture software – smart platform technology simplifies the user experience.

Optimized for biomechanics

Two 6-axis force platforms (8,900 N capacity), removable handrails for maximum marker visibility, bidirectional belt speed up to 19.3 km/h.

FAQ

What is the difference between an end-to-end configuration and a side-split treadmill?

On side-split treadmills, test subjects have to adopt an unnaturally wide stance. The end-to-end configuration allows for a free choice of track width whilst providing full bilateral force measurement, resulting in a more natural gait pattern.

How is the treadmill integrated into existing motion-capture systems?

Via a simple digital USB interface, compatible with all leading motion capture software solutions. Optionally, the StrideWorks software automatically converts the forces into left/right leg forces.

What should you do in the event of a fault, malfunction or when maintenance is required?
