The h/p/cosmos Gaitway 3D is a high-precision force-measuring treadmill for three-dimensional gait analysis, developed jointly with Arsalis. It measures ground reaction forces and torques in three directions at speeds of up to 40 km/h and is ideal for biomechanics, performance diagnostics, and rehabilitation.
Unlike split-belt treadmills, the Gaitway 3D uses a single, continuous running surface – a validated algorithm mathematically decomposes the measured combined force into left and right foot force. This allows natural walking and running without forcing foot placement, with a relative deviation of only 1.8–2.5% compared to real measured values. Ideal in combination with Vicon motion capture and EMG.
Features
Rigid construction
High signal quality thanks to a stable build, including 20° incline with reverse belt rotation for versatile test scenarios.
Single-belt precision
One continuous running surface instead of a split belt – more natural movement, validated for healthy and clinical gait.
Three deck sizes
150/50, 170/65, and 190/65 cm – each size optimized for a specific speed range.
